Books for Discussion

At Island Books we have a book discussion group that is open to anyone who would like to attend. We meet every 5 or 6 weeks on a Thursday evening at 6:30. We primarily read fiction and our picks are most often a book that has gotten a lot of attention and is now hot off the press in paperback. At the current meeting we announce the next book and meeting date. We also send out an e-newsletter announcing our next book for discussion. There is no commitment on the part of the members to attend any or all meetings - that's the beauty of a group like ours - you can come when it suits you and not if it doesn't. Our meetings are very informal and are led by Pat Coussa, bookseller extraordinaire. We always have an eclectic mix of booklovers - several who attend most all the meetings but there is always a new face or two in the crowd. We hope you'll join us!
